A dental check-up usually takes around 20-30 minutes.
During a check-up the dentist will do a full mouth examination to look for any problems which include: mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks and tongue. The dentist may also take x-rays to check for any hidden problems like decay or bone loss.
If your dentist identifies any dental problems, they will recommend the next steps and provide you with a treatment plan.
The dentist will answer any questions you have and also will advise you on any improvements you can make.
